Rebuilt Braun Coffee Maker    1991

In building Crate House, I isolated each of the  human  activities, eating, sleeping, bathing and recreating.  Rebuilt Braun Coffee Maker” investigates and expands one small piece of  Crate House.  I removed any element from the manufactured coffee maker that interfered with our ability to see the process of making coffee.  I isolated the water storage element, the coffee filter holder, the heating element, the electrical contacts, the switch, etc. and reassembled the parts leaving gaps between the elements.  I built a carrying case that looks like a cross between a Thomas Edison invention and a crate.
